oil on board - this one is my least favourite, I went overboard with the crazy colours. It was dark and my first painting from life, give me a break.

the last one is your least favorite?? I really like it. I think it's important to have a good color palette as a simple design element, but it's no rule. Crazy colors can be arbitrary and still work if the values are correct, which in this painting they are! Not to mention crazy colors can illicit a certain conceptual atmosphere...like craziness.
